American Kite Association president David Gomberg said the festival was aiming to break a Guinness record by flying 6,000 kites simultaneously. "There are teams from 15 countries coming here from February 16," Gomberg said Tuesday at a press conference at the Gran Senyiur Hotel in Balikpapan. "I'm very excited to be here."
